Toyota Tacoma sees the addition of a new Nightshade and Trail Edition packages, which add trim-specific wheels, body molding, and other performance parts for 2021. Tacoma is a midsize pickup truck that seats 5 passengers. Competitors include the Honda Ridgeline, Chevrolet Colorado, GMC Canyon, and Ford Ranger. Rear-wheel-drive is standard with four-wheel-drive being optional. Two cab sizes are offered: Double Cab and Access Cab. There are six trim levels available: SR, SR5, TRD Sport, TRD Off-Road, Limited and TRD Pro. Two engines offered: A 2.7-liter 4-cylinder that produces 159 horsepower and a 3.5-liter V6 that produces 278 horsepower. The 4-cylinder is available with a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission, while the V6 is available with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic. On the other hand, mechanical upgrades include the suspension disc, especially off-road, and TRD models, which get new shocks and various other parts. Available driver-assist technology includes Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, rearview camera with cross-traffic alert, frontal collision warning, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, automatic high-beam headlights.
