Porsche introduced a new version of the 718 Boxster and Cayman. The package, known as the GTS 4.0, features a 4.0-liter atmospheric 6-cylinder Boxer engine. Porsche has thus filled the gap between the GTS and the GT4 / Spyder. Capacity 4.0 liters and the engine in the middle, full 400 hp power. The vehicle can produce 419 Nm of torque.

The 718 Boxster / Cayman GTS 4.0 pair, whose red line is set to 7800 revs, is only 20 hp missing from the GT4 variant. The new 718 GTS 4.0 is able to reach a top speed of 100 km / h in just 4.4 seconds thanks to the settings made to the 4.0-liter engine. The GTS 4.0, which can see 293 km / h, is only 0.1 seconds slower than the GT4 on acceleration.

The Stuttgart brand has added plenty of performance equipment to its new 718 variants. Briefly referred to as PASM, Porsche’s active suspension control system has lowered the ride height by 20 mm compared to the standard 718s. The torque steering system called Porsche Torque Vectoring comes with a mechanically locked differential. Brake discs with a diameter of 350 mm at the front and 330 mm at the rear can be purchased as an optional ceramic-composite.

The performance of the 718 pair is reflected in the cabin as well as the exterior design. The front of the vehicle with a black spoiler attachment bumper design, overhauled. The 20 “diameter rims are satin black. When we look inside, Porsche’s Sports Seats Plus seats attract attention. Black Alkantara trim is used in the steering wheel, gear knob, door panels and center console.

The price for the Porsche 718 Boxster GTS 4.0 and 718 Cayman GTS 4.0, which will be available in the summer of 2020, has not been announced.
