As expected, the 2020 Honda Civic Type R brings about non-radical make-up changes. Engineers who underwent revisions on the basic parts of the vehicle have made some further improvements in material quality in the cockpit section. In Honda, the Type R has made some mechanical changes, such as newly developed two-piece brake discs and new brake calipers. Thanks to these parts, Type R’s braking at high speeds is now better and more stable. The vehicle’s suspensions have also been overhauled and the Type R will now be more comfortable on standard driving. Due to some changes in the suspension and steering system, there has been some improvement in handling.

This 2.0-liter machine will continue to produce 306 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque. Other mechanical features include a 6-speed manual transmission, front-wheel drive and a limited-slip differential. When we move to the changing parts, the front grille welcomes us. Honda, which designed the bigger here, aims to improve the cooling of the engine. Other body parts will be touched by small touches. There are minor changes in the steering wheel and gear knob, such as the Alcantara coating. The gear shift knob has also been redesigned. Honda also offers a standard package of safety and driver assistance equipment called Honda Sensing in the new Type R in some countries. No significant revision is expected in the prices of Type R, where software effects in driving modes are also increased.
