2023 Cadillac Lyriq

The 2023 Cadillac Lyriq is based on GM’s next-generation modular EV platform and is powered by the brand’s upcoming ‘Ultium’ electric powertrain family which will offer more than 300 miles of driving range in its top 100kWh battery spec. The carmaker also adds that the new Lyric is compatible with up to 150 kW DC fast-charging and Level 2 charging rates of up to 19 kW. Customers will be offered both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive versions. A new image released by GM confirms the charge port will be located on the driver’s side front fender, behind a great panel that will slide forward. The shot also reveals the fender-mounted light will take the shape of the Cadillac crest, and that the debut concept is fitted with a GM Design badge along with the rocker panel.

There’s a rotary controller on the cantilevered center console, and at the bottom of the instrument panel, a pull-out tray. Laser-etched and backlit wood veneer trim on the door panels add depth and detail. Other advanced features will include GM’s latest SuperCruise, with a lane-changing feature, a dual-plane head-up display, and remote self-parking.
