Mazda BT-50, which has been on the market for a long time, is finally transitioning to the third generation. Introduced at Mazda Australia’s online event, the new pickup shows its biggest change with its platform. Now using the Isuzu platform, BT-50 has become the platform brother of D-Max. The vehicle uses an engine that can produce 3.0-liter 190 hp and 450 Nm of torque. The power produced can be sent to the wheels with a six-speed manual or automatic transmission. The 2021 Mazda BT-50 has 3,500 kilograms of traction and 1,000 kilogram of load carrying capacity. Mazda will offer the vehicle with 4×4 and 4×2 options. In addition, the vehicle is expected to get an entry-level version. Taking the 9-inch infotainment system and new air conditioning controls directly from Isuzu D-Max, the vehicle will make its users realize that they are in a real Mazda in all other parts.

Complementing the exterior design, the cockpit has a high perception of quality. The interior of the BT-50 looks very premium thanks to the sporty three-spoke steering wheel and a large infotainment display that includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. According to the hardware packages, electronic assistants such as adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, lane assistant and blind spot warning will be at the service of users.
