Built on the CLAR platform, just like the G20 3 Series, the new 4 Series Coupe is more dynamic than its four-door sibling thanks to mechanical and structural updates. The 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder turbo petrol engine in the 420i version of the new BMW 4 Series Coupe produces 184 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque. The model, in which the produced power and torque is transferred to the rear wheels with an 8-speed automatic transmission, completes the 0-100 km / h acceleration in 7.5 seconds. The vehicle can accelerate to a maximum speed of 240 km / h. In the 430i version, a top option, the power, and torque produced reaches 400 Nm with 258 horsepower, while the 0-100 km/h acceleration time falls to 5.8 seconds. The maximum speed of this version, which can be preferred with 8-speed automatic transmission, is 250 km/h.

The 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder turbo gasoline engine is on duty at the powerful member of the family, the M440i xDrive. The engine, which produces 374 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque, is combined with 48V light hybrid technology and xDrive all-wheel-drive system. In this way, the model, which gets 11 horsepower from the electric motor, completes the 0-100 km / h acceleration in 4.5 seconds. The vehicle can reach a maximum speed of 250 km / h. Also in this version, M Sport suspensions and M-limit slip rear differential are included in the list of standard features.

Equipped with dual turbo and lightweight hybrid technology, the 420d version features a 2.0-liter four-cylinder unit that produces 190 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque. with the option of xDrive, this version completes 0-100 km/h acceleration in 7.1 seconds, with a maximum speed of 240 km/h. The 430d xDrive, which features all-wheel drive as standard, is powered by a 3.0-liter six-cylinder unit that produces 286 horsepower and 650Nm of torque. In the M440d xDrive, the powerful member of the diesel side, the power, and torque produced by the 3.0-liter engine increase to 340 horsepower and 700 Nm, while the 0-100 km/h acceleration time falls to 4.7 seconds.
