The most striking change in the 2020 Volkswagen Passat is seen in the renewed bumper and front grille. The vehicle has gained a more aggressive and sporty appearance with minor changes in the bumper and grille. LED lighting elements in the vehicle are offered as standard in both front and rear lights. Passat lettering at the rear is centered on the tailgate. It should also be noted that the rim designs have completely changed. Rims in the range of 17-19 inches give the vehicle a different atmosphere. The German automotive company has also turned to minor changes in the engine of the 2020 Passat. The vehicle has a 174 horsepower 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbo engine and a 6-speed automatic transmission.

The interior of the 2020 Volkswagen Passat features a third-generation infotainment system. There are changes and improvements to the graphics on the 11.7-inch digital instrument cluster. The infotainment system also includes support for Wi-Fi and integrated SIM cards. Offering applications such as Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and MirrorLink together with the new generation Volkswagen Car-Net system, Volkswagen offers its drivers a high-tech experience. There is also a virtual assistant system in the vehicle. In addition, Volkswagen offers features such as blind-spot warning, emergency braking system, and front collision avoidance as standard.
