This is the 2020 McLaren Grand Touring, a lightweight modern Grand Tourer that blends innovative materials with supercar performance and McLaren’s excellent driving dynamics. This is not your usual McLaren designed to chase lap times, as the GT is taking aim at the luxury car market by re-imagining the spirit of traditional GT. That means traveling for long distances at speed in comfort and with enough room for luggage.

The styling of the Grand Touring is reminiscent of the 720S minus the various ducts, spoilers, and grills, which give the Grand Touring a more refined look and feel. Overall the exterior design is elegant with subtle hints at the car’s performance potential with muscular rear haunches and side air intakes. On the inside, McLaren has fitted the GT with plenty of Nappa leather with the option of upgrading to soft-grain luxury leather, Alcantara, or Cashmere.

“The 2020 McLaren Grand Touring combines competition levels of performance with continent-crossing capability, wrapped in a beautiful body and true to McLaren’s ethos of designing superlight cars with a clear weight advantage over rivals. Designed for distance, it provides the comfort and space expected of a Grand Tourer, but with a level of agility never experienced before in this segment. In short, this is a car that redefines the notion of a Grand Tourer in a way that only a McLaren could.” Mike Flewitt, Chief Executive Officer, McLaren Automotive
