Immensely capable 2019 McLaren 720S now has a folding hard-top Spider variant, for those who enjoy their supercars with the wind in their hair. Like the McLaren 650S Spider before it, the McLaren 720S Spider opts for a folding hard-top roof over a soft-top option. This roof folds down to store under a tonneau that sits above the V8 engine in the back. Either side is two buttresses, each with a carbon fiber constructed roll bar section, and a glass element which helps maintain the coupe-like silhouette.

McLaren has managed to keep the extra weight down to just 49 kilograms over the coupe, tipping the scales at 2,936, lbs. The claimed 0-62 mph acceleration time stays the same as the 720S at 2.9 seconds, with 0-124 mph down in just 7.9 seconds. The top speed of the Spider has been lowered by 10 mph to 202 mph.

The arrival of 2019 McLaren 720S Spider sees the introduction of two new exterior colors Belize Blue and Aztec Gold, along with a new ten-spoke wheel design wrapped with Pirelli P ZERO tires. The Spider will be offered in three different trim levels with standard, performance, and luxury to choose from.
