The new Lotus Exige Sport 410 fills the gap the in the Exige line-up between the track-focused Exige Cup 430 and the more road-biased Exige Sport 350. Continuing the Lotus ideology of adding lightness, the Exige Sport 410 makes healthy use of lightweight forged alloys throughout, making it the lightest V6 Exige to date with a dry weight of just 1,054 kilograms. The suspension setup from the 430 Cup has been brought over to the 410, consisting of three-way adjustable Nitron dampers and Eibach anti-rolls bars, at both ends. The wheel are wrapped with Michelin’s Pilot Sport Cup tyres, measuring 285/30 ZR18 at the rear and 215/45 ZR17 at the front.

The mid-mounted 3.5L V6 engine is supercharged and tuned to deliver 410 horsepower at 7,000 rpm with 420 Nm (310 lb-ft) of torque on tap from 3,000 rpm to 7,000 rpm. Combined with the low weight and the power to weight ratio of 389 hp per tonne is very impressive. The 0-100 kph (0-62 mph) sprint is dispatched in 3.4 seconds, and the top speed pushes 290 kph (180 mph). Drive is sent to the rear wheels via a close-ratio six-speed manual gearbox, that features a linkage mechanism that is exposed in the cockpit.

Jean-Marc Gales, CEO, Group Lotus plc said, “With every new Lotus we look to move the bar higher and apply technology and development ideas drawn from top-of-the-range models. Our agility as a company means that the lessons learnt today can quickly be incorporated into the cars of tomorrow and the Lotus Exige Sport 410 is a perfect example of this. We have taken the Exige Cup 430, the ultimate track-centric Exige, and developed it into the perfect road orientated sports car, ensuring that we stay ahead of rivals when it comes to cars that deliver a truly engaging analogue driving experience.”
