2002 Ferrari Enzo

Named after Ferraris founder Enzo Ferrari, this mid engined super car was Ferraris V12 hero car for the new millennium. The Enzo used lots of formula 1 technology including a carbon-fibre body, electro hydraulic shift transmission, and carbon fibre-reinforced silicon carbide ceramic composite disc brakes. It also made use of traction control and some active aero to improve down force when needed.

399 Enzo Ferraris were built with most being sold to customers who had previously bought either an F40 or F50, as they were the first offered the chance to purchase the new super car.

The 6.0L V12 had a redline at 8,200 rpm, and made 651 hp at 7800 rpm and 657 Nm at 5500 rpm. This propelled the car to 100 mph (160 kph) in 6.6 seconds, and onwards to the 1/4 mile in around 11 seconds. The Enzo Ferrari utilized paddle shifters with shift lights mounted on the top of the steering wheel indicating the optimal time to change gears.
